What's Next?

To whom would you give a courage award? A firefighter? A law enforcement officer? Perhaps a soldier who defends our freedom? All of the above, right? In my opinion, each one of them deserves a courage award. I never thought I'd see a man who transformed himself into a woman receive an award for courage but that's exactly what happened at this year's Espy Awards. That's right, Caitlyn Jenner, the former Bruce Jenner, was given an award for courage at the Espy's. Bruce Jenner's decision to become a woman had absolutely nothing to do with the world of sports. Was this award given because when Caitlyn was Bruce he was an Olympic champion? Or, was the so-called award of courage given to Caitlyn with an agenda in mind? An agenda that pushes, preaches and tries to convince us all that everyone is celebrating decisions such as Bruce's conversion to Caitlyn. We have men and women who are a long way from home and family and risking their lives to provide us freedom and we celebrate Caitlyn Jenner. I'm in no way mean this to be hateful but I'll be honest and tell you that I don't understand it. In fact, when I think about all of this it makes me ask the question, what's next. "People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power."(II Tim.3:2-5) Notice the apostle Paul uses phrases such as "lovers of themselves", "lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" and "having a form of godliness". These descriptions recorded many years ago seem to describe perfectly our modern day. What's next?
