Only The Name Of Jesus

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."(Acts 4:12) These are the very powerful and inspired words of Peter as he states his case before the Sanhedrin regarding the healing of a crippled man. (Acts 3:1-10) Peter was making the point that it was not at all by his own power and ability that the crippled man was healed but only by the powerful name of Jesus. Peter would go on to explain that salvation is only found in the name of Jesus. In case these individuals of the Sanhedrin were trusting in the old law or some false god for salvation Peter wanted to set the record straight and make it perfectly clear that salvation only comes through Jesus. "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."(Jno.14:6) Jesus himself says, if it's heaven you're interested in then you must come through me. There are many different beliefs and teachings and even several names in whom people trust for their personal salvation. Sadly, if one is trusting in any name other than Jesus for salvation then he is grossly misguided. There is no other name in which we find eternal salvation. There is no other way we can enter heaven with the Father except through our Lord Jesus Christ.
