Mothers Should Be Honored

I can't think of a more difficult job on the planet then that of being a mother. Think about it. Being a mom is a full-time, 24 hour a day, 7 day a week job with terrible pay and no vacation time. I'm sure every mom would tell us that it's the most rewarding job and I'm sure it is, but, I still believe moms have a difficult job. If a mom is a stay at home mom or a mom who works outside the home, it's a tough job. Moms are always on call to be doctors, counselors, taxi drivers, cooks and at times, the evening entertainment and cleanup crew. Mothers do so much for their children. As important and difficult as the role of being a mother is, there is no way that any mom should ever feel unappreciated or overlooked. Mothers should be honored and not just once a year on Mother's Day. Honoring mothers is a Biblical teaching that dates back to the ten commandments in the Law of Moses. "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother - which is the first commandment with a promise " that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."(Eph.6:1-3 Quote Deut.5:16) Let's notice all the things our moms do for us and honor these most valuable women every chance we can. Happy Mother's Day to every mom!
