God Knows Our Limit

I'm sure we all have a limit. I'm not convinced that we all know precisely where that limit is, but I'm sure we all have one. You've heard people say and maybe you've even said, "I've reached my limit and can't handle anymore." Sometimes it's the physical trials of this life that push people to their limit. It could also be the constant struggle with temptation. Temptations are the internal desires of the flesh to do what is contrary to the will of God. It seems that there is some kind of temptation knocking on the door of our lives every day. Just acknowledging that reality may be enough to push some to their limit. The good news for us is that God is in control and knows us even better than we do. God knows exactly what we can and cannot handle and assures us that He will not allow us tempted beyond our ability. "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"(I Cor.10:13). With each temptation we face, God will not allow us to be overcome and He is faithful to always provide us an escape. We may feel at times that we are fast approaching our limit, but it is comforting to know that God knows our limit and will faithfully see us through.
